Overview
The Digital Software Engineering Intermediate Analyst is a developing professional role responsible for application development, systems analysis, programming, testing, implementation and application support across digital technology platforms.
What you'll do
- Turn technology stacks and application designs into code across iOS, Android, web/Angular and services platforms.
- Apply established criteria to address problems, questions and situations that influence development outcomes.
- Use appropriate technology to deliver small-scale features and functions and support larger program efforts.
- Assist with feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs.
- Develop, design, construct, test and implement secure, stable, testable and maintainable code.
- Engage in digital applications development, risk technology, Middleware, Mainframe applications, Non Mainframe applications, Analytic Model Development and application support activities.
- Consult with users, clients and technology groups on issues and recommend programming solutions for customer-exposed systems.
- Learn the functionality, architecture, dependencies and runtime properties of systems involved in projects, including business requirements, applications and services, runtime operations, support strategies and maintenance.
- Understand business context, customer use cases, team technologies, system designs and architecture.
- Drive system build and performance discussions and provide technical context to team members.
- Represent team systems to stakeholders inside and outside Digital.
- Build and maintain integrated project development schedules covering dependencies, SDLC approaches, constraints and contingency for unplanned delays.
- Negotiate features and priorities and help teams and customers reach consensus.
- Communicate development and timeline dependencies clearly and concisely.
- Improve team development processes to accelerate delivery, drive innovation, lower costs and improve quality.
- Measure productivity objectively, including through SonarQube and Findbugs.
- Automate code quality, code performance, unit testing and build processing in the CI/CD pipeline using RTC, Jenkins and RLM.
- Assess risk in business decisions, consider the firm's reputation and safeguard Citigroup, its clients and assets.
- Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhere to policy, apply sound ethical judgment and escalate, manage and report control issues transparently.
