Software Engineer

Overview

Software Engineer role supporting development of features for policy, vulnerability management, and related areas as a junior UI/Full Stack developer.

What you'll do

• Establish relationships and collaborate effectively with your team.
• Collaborate with others on projects and work on small-to-medium features from technical design through completion.
• Apply understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile engineering practices, including requirements analysis, design, coding, unit testing, and acceptance testing.
• Participate in delivery of technical design features with guidance.
• Analyze information, ask questions, and confirm understanding with your team.
• Write functional, clean code, unit tests, and E2E tests with some guidance.
• Assist in code reviews and address code review feedback.
• Monitor and triage incident reports, participate in postmortems, and take on potential on-call duties.
• Estimate time to complete assignments and communicate status, blockers, and delays to the team.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience, or Master's degree and 0 years of related experience.
• Basic knowledge of development theories, principles, and concepts.
• Exposure to current technologies through coursework or internship.
• Experience in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience in React, Angular, or other similar technology.

Nice to have

• Experience developing using backend languages such as Go, Ruby on Rails, or Node.js.
