Overview
Software Engineer in Visa’s Risk and Identity Solutions team within the Value Added Services organization. Build and maintain critical solutions that integrate with internal and external systems or work standalone, while partnering with business and stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient, secure, high-quality solutions.
What you'll do
- Build and support lasting, scalable, and secure solutions that deliver a delightful user experience, are resilient, and promote learning.
- Continue to learn about the industry and propose new learning and payments solutions to meet future needs.
- Adhere to the SDLC governance framework.
- Install, review, analyze, and evaluate existing solutions.
- Recommend technologies for incubation and future solutions, and help implement recommendations for longevity, stability, performance, and availability.
- Engage with product managers and users to ensure that the right learning platforms and content providers are available and accessible to Visa employees and clients around the world.
- Provide technical leadership and partner with Engineering, Network, Security, and Infrastructure technology groups on project delivery activities.
- Produce development artifacts and participate in code reviews.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance existing integrations to ensure they are functioning optimally.
- Ensure the highest level of Engineering and Operational Excellence following Visa’s core principles.
- Participate in vendor assessments and selection.
- Work with limited direction, usually within a complex and fast-paced environment, to drive delivery of solutions and meet service levels.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ year of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
- Experience in full-stack technology in one or more of the following: Java, Python, React, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Angular, JavaScript, SQL, Maven, Design Patterns, and Test Automation framework.
- Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise way.
- Experience with agile development incorporating continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Understanding of AI/Data analytics capabilities.
- Foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in the GenAI technology space/tools.
- Strong facilitation and analytical skills with excellent problem-solving ability.
- Good interpersonal skills and communication.
- Passion for delivering zero-defect code that meets or exceeds the proposed defect SLA.
- High sense of accountability for the quality and timeliness of one’s own deliverables and team deliverables.
- Highly driven, resourceful, and results oriented.
- Systematic approach and ability to do deep research to uncover details.
- Good work ethics and ability to be a team player to bring the best results as a team.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 1+ year of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
- Experience with agile development incorporating Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, utilizing technologies such as GIT, Maven, and Jenkins.
- Experience with RESTful API development.
- Expertise in web applications and web services, technology standards, and frameworks.
- Experience in test-driven development and test automation.
- Experience in the card industry or fintech delivering solutions in fraud, risk, or payments space.
- Experience in developing large-scale, enterprise-class distributed systems of high availability, low latency, and strong data consistency.
- Experience developing instrumentation for software components to help facilitate real-time and remote troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
Details
- Location: Bengaluru, India.
- Visa requires at least 3 days in the office; expectations for these days will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager.
