Software Engineer (Product)

Overview

Software Engineer (Product) joining Avoca’s Bengaluru product engineering team to ship customer-facing backend, API, and AI-powered features end-to-end.

What you'll do

• Build scalable backend services, APIs, and AI-powered features.
• Own features end-to-end from backend to customer-facing interfaces.
• Design, evaluate, and operate AI-powered workflows for reliable LLM behavior in production.
• Integrate with CRM systems, scheduling platforms, and third-party communication tools.
• Write comprehensive tests, add monitoring, and take ownership post-release.
• Join on-call rotation and respond to incidents to maintain reliability.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of software engineering experience, ideally full-stack.
• At least 1 year in a fast-paced startup or growth-stage environment.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and Python with backend experience.
• Hands-on AWS or GCP experience and modern deployment practices.
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and understanding service-oriented architectures.
• Comfort working with SQL databases at scale.

• Location: Bengaluru, India.
• Work mode: Hybrid with regular office presence in Bengaluru.
• Some overlap with US business hours may be needed.
