Overview

Software Engineer - Cloud SRE to join eBay’s Cloud Infrastructure team in Bangalore, India.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with internal customers and partners to deliver business outcomes.
• Ensure cloud products are reliable, scalable, efficient, and compliant with security and operational standards.
• Improve observability with monitoring and alerting across cloud services.
• Respond to cloud incidents, run root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain incident response plans.
• Recommend and implement changes to improve system performance and resource utilization.
• Improve CI/CD processes to increase deployment velocity and reliability.

What you'll need

• At least 3 years of experience focusing on reliability, scalability, and operations of self-service platforms.
• Minimum of 5+ years programming experience with Go or Python.
• 3+ years in large-scale, distributed, high-availability, fault-tolerant systems in production.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes as an SRE or related cloud infrastructure technologies.
• Expertise in observability tools and practices for reliability and performance.
• Experience delivering products in a multi-functional team environment.
• Deep understanding of API design and RESTful principles for web services at scale.
