Director of Finance

Overview

Director of Finance for CommerceIQ’s India entity, owning accounting practice, statutory compliance, and serving as the primary contact for banking and compliance stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Own day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly/annual close in NetSuite.
• Manage Indian statutory compliance including GST, TDS/withholding tax, corporate income tax, PF/PT, and STPI reporting and configuration.
• Act as an authorized initiator on corporate banking platforms for payments, payroll, fixed deposits, and forex/travel advances.
• Coordinate audits and annual statutory filings with auditors, tax consultants, and the company secretary.
• Maintain and improve finance systems/processes across Tipalti, Navan, FloQast, and NetSuite releases with IT.
• Manage and develop the India finance team and oversee the AP/AR cycle and employee reimbursable settlements.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent strongly preferred.
• 10-12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including prior team management.
• Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, Ind AS, Companies Act 2013, and GST/TDS/PF/PT/STPI requirements.
• Proven GST/TDS compliance reporting and ERP configuration experience including e-Way Bill and GSTIN localization.
• Experience as an authorized signatory/initiator for corporate banking relationships including payments, FDs, forex, and EEFC/e-BRC.
• Experience coordinating audits and annual filings with statutory auditors, tax consultants, and company secretaries.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of NetSuite, Tipalti, Navan, FloQast, or GreytHR.
• Prior finance experience in a SaaS or ecommerce company.
