Director, Software Engineering

Overview

Director of Software Engineering responsible for building and leading Litmos's India engineering team, integrating it with global engineering, and driving technical direction, operational excellence, and predictable delivery.

What you'll do

• Build and scale the India engineering team, including hiring and onboarding.
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering managers and senior engineers.
• Integrate the India team with global engineering teams and align collaboration practices.
• Improve software development lifecycle processes, testing, CI/CD, releases, and incident management.
• Provide technical direction for architecture, design reviews, technical debt, and platform strategy.
• Own delivery commitments and partner with Product Management on engineering plans.

What you'll need

• 15+ years of software engineering experience.
• At least 5 years of engineering leadership experience at Engineering Manager, Senior Engineering Manager, or Director level.
• Hands-on experience with C# and .NET development.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps for CI/CD, pipelines, and engineering workflows.
• Experience with SQL Server, including schema design, query optimization, and production operations.
• Experience integrating Agentic AI into production systems.
• Experience building and scaling teams and leading distributed or globally integrated engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience establishing an engineering hub or center of excellence from scratch.
• Experience with B2B SaaS platform or product engineering.
• Exposure to data engineering, integrations, or API-first products.
• Experience with engineering hiring at scale in India.
• Knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR practices.

• Salary: ₹50,00,000–₹70,00,000 yearly, plus a 20% bonus.
