Divisional Risk and Control Senior Analyst, AVP

Overview

Divisional Risk and Control Senior Analyst (AVP) in the Chief Risk Office Divisional Control Office, running independent control testing across risk types within the new Control Testing Unit.

What you'll do

• Execute independent control testing (design and operating effectiveness) in line with the Control Testing methodology and minimum standards.
• Identify and validate control deficiencies and related risks; escalate issues and exceptions where required.
• Produce clear, high-quality workpapers and management reports that evidence testing results and findings.
• Prepare materials for and support Risk and Control governance forums, including progress, results and key issues.
• Help shape and deliver the annual testing plan; drive plan governance and resolve scoping conflicts with the DCO and stakeholders.
• Challenge constructively and facilitate resolution of disagreements, including scoping and evidence gaps.
• Coordinate effectively with control owners and other stakeholders.

What you'll need

• Good knowledge of auditing controls.
• Good drafting skills, including the ability to record and describe complex issues clearly and succinctly, easily understandable by any recipient of the reports.
• Strong organizational, project management and leadership skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize workload.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills and a structured thought process, with the ability to clearly articulate control deficiencies and related risk.
• Flexible, proactive and innovative mindset, with strong organizational skills to take ownership of agreed targets and deliver within budget.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimise workflows, applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
