- Define and maintain a technology radar and point of view on emerging trends, technologies, and business capabilities; research external and environmental efforts and selectively drive the right ones through Micron.
- Propose new areas for development based on advanced technical judgment, knowledge of Micron's interests, and the competitive landscape, and gain internal alignment.
- Establish the governing system for innovation intake, assessment, experimentation, and recommendation, and make it scale across Global Supply Chain.
- Lead proof-of-concept and pilot efforts through to conclusion of technical readiness, with measurable impact to programs and the business, and drive transition into sustained operational capability.
- Deliver a sustained, demonstrable track record of innovation, championing initiatives that produce worldwide impact and positive ROI for Micron.
- Resolve highly complex, cross-domain problems by integrating expert knowledge across supply chain, data science, operations research, and adjacent technical fields where no established solution exists.
- Evaluate and set direction on emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, autonomous agents, advanced analytics, digital twins, automation, and optimization.
- Regularly shape solution roadmaps and functional strategy; exercise influence over critical technology and capability decisions at the division/group level.
- Provide consultation and executive-ready recommendations to functional leaders and senior management on innovation investments, capability bets, and long-term supply chain technical strategy.
- Build and lead a cross-functional innovation community, networking effectively to share methods, information, and expertise across a broad internal and external community.
- Actively mentor technical contributors within and outside the functional area, and serve as a role model for technical leadership, communication, and teamwork.
- Scale impact through a broad network of virtual contributors across the organization, creating a self-sustaining system for innovation across Global Supply Chain.
