- Oversee the identification, assessment, documentation and escalation of material risks across end-to-end KYC and BFCR processes.
- Challenge whether risks are accurately articulated, supported by evidence and linked to clear ownership, risk responses, milestones and success criteria.
- Provide thematic analysis and read-across across incidents, findings, control failures and change initiatives to identify systemic patterns.
- Partner with Group Audit, Compliance and relevant stakeholders to maintain readiness for internal audits, regulatory reviews and external assurance activity.
- Provide leadership across the full findings lifecycle, including issue articulation, root-cause analysis, management action plans, target dates, closure documentation, validation support and lessons learned.
- Challenge remediation plans for clarity, completeness, feasibility, dependency management and sustainability before governance approval or closure submission.
- Ensure audit and regulatory commitments are tracked through effective governance, with emerging delivery risks escalated early and transparently.
- Promote responsible use of analytics, automation and AI-supported tools where these strengthen risk identification, testing, monitoring and management information.
- Present risk insights, control-effectiveness results, thematic trends and strategic recommendations to senior leadership in a concise and decision-oriented manner.
- Build strong partnerships across Operations, BFCR, Front Office, Compliance, DCO, Audit, Technology, Data and Change teams.
- Create an environment that encourages proactive issue identification, constructive challenge, timely escalation and accountability for outcomes.
