Engineer

Overview

Quality engineer role at Valmet in Chennai focused on preparing inspection and test plans, NDE and welding procedures, and managing quality documentation to meet customer, project, national and international codes and standards.

What you'll do

• Prepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) based on customer and project requirements.
• Respond to customer queries in the specified documents.
• Prepare NDE and welding procedures based on customer and project requirements.
• Interact with NDE Level 3 personnel on a need basis.
• Manage completed tasks in the document management module.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders on proper handover.
• Implement QMS requirements within AE&C procedures and support regular internal and external audits.

What you'll need

• Diploma, BE or ME.
• 1+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical specifications and legal requirements.
• Strong understanding of valve and actuator sizing and selection.
• Skilled in ERP systems and quotation preparation.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
