Engineer-design

Overview

Provide mechanical CAD engineering design support for generator-related new product development projects. Execute projects individually and collaboratively while meeting business-unit scope, timeline, and quality requirements.

What you'll do

• Analyze project requests and estimate scope, timelines, and requirements.
• Design and develop generator systems, subsystems, and components.
• Create concept layouts and assess preliminary design feasibility.
• Prioritize and execute multiple projects with business units and managers.
• Resolve technical and non-technical project issues proactively.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions for project quality and timelines.
• Maintain project status, time logs, reports, documentation, and database information.

What you'll need

• Knowledge of Creo and Catia CAD tools.
• Ability to perform basic design calculations.
• Basic knowledge of GD&T, DFMEA, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Knowledge of sheet-metal manufacturing processes.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing engineering and jigs and fixtures.
• Knowledge of reverse-engineering methods.
• Ability to work with PLM and data-management systems.
