Overview

Engineer II (Software) to design, develop, and maintain scalable Python backend applications, APIs, and microservices for the Atlas platform.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based backend applications, APIs, microservices, and workflow services.
• Build secure, high-performance solutions using modern backend frameworks, cloud-native architectures, and event-driven design.
• Integrate applications with databases, AI services, workflow engines, and external systems via APIs and messaging frameworks.
• Develop automated testing and CI/CD capabilities to support software quality and reliability.
• Monitor application performance, resolve production issues, and contribute to continuous improvement.

What you'll need

• 5+ years’ experience developing enterprise-grade backend applications and APIs.
• Proficiency in Python and modern backend frameworks such as FastAPI.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on cloud-native development experience using Azure platform services.
• Knowledge of databases, data modeling, and SQL/NoSQL technologies for performance optimization.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, source control, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
