Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer

Overview

Flex is adding a Manufacturing Engineer in Chennai to support new product introduction, process documentation and production efficiency reporting for its manufacturing teams.

What you'll do

• Create work instructions for new products and update work instructions for engineering changes
• Support cycle time estimation study and NRE estimation for Request for Quote (RFQ) preparation
• Create Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis for new products
• Support PR creation and follow-up
• Support NPI and its documentation
• Prepare daily plans, production downtime analysis reports and industrial engineering cycle time calculation reports
• Prepare overall equipment efficiency (OEE) reports and equipment utilization reports

What you'll need

• B.E. (EEE/ECE) graduate
• 4-7 years of experience as an NPI/SMT or process engineer in manufacturing setup
• Minimum 4-7 years of experience in a manufacturing setup
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic components
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Working knowledge of MS Office tools (MS Excel, MS Word)
• Good team player

Nice to have

• Experience in the EMS industry
