Engineer, NCT

Overview

Entry-level Engineer supporting the design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and operational support of technology solutions. The role is a 12-month project-based assignment involving software engineering and cyber hygiene remediation activities.

What you'll do

• Participate in software design, development, testing, maintenance, and deployment.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, application, infrastructure, and vulnerability management teams.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technology issues.
• Support vulnerability remediation, including patching, configuration weaknesses, and control gaps.
• Analyse remediation data to identify ageing items, recurring issues, bottlenecks, and ownership gaps.
• Support workflows for intake, triage, assignment, escalation, evidence collection, and closure tracking.
• Assist with data validation, automation testing, documentation, and controlled workflow rollouts.

What you'll need

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience as a Developer or Software Engineer.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, electronics, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong programming fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented concepts.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript.
• Understanding of SDLC concepts, databases, APIs, and basic software architecture.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn new technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience through academic projects, internships, hackathons, or personal projects.
• Understanding of cloud platforms, DevOps practices, or container technologies.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software testing principles.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools with critical judgment and responsible data handling.
