Engineer- QA

Overview

Full-Time QA Test Engineer role in Qualcomm’s QCT Software Automation and Tools (QSWAT) group, focused on ensuring quality of cloud-hosted, web-based tools through manual and automated testing.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and automate test cases using BDD-based frameworks and Playwright.
• Run comprehensive testing to identify quality gaps and report defects.
• Analyze issues and propose practical, scalable solutions.
• Plan and manage overall quality strategy, including test planning and execution.
• Collaborate with Tools Development teams to support consistent high-quality delivery.
• Collect and analyze quality data to define KPIs and produce quality reports and dashboards.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of academic or industry experience in software quality engineering.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools including Selenium WebDriver and Playwright with TypeScript.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python.
• Hands-on testing experience across UI testing, automated testing, and TDD practices.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server and ORMs such as Entity Framework and/or Dapper.
• Experience with version control systems such as Perforce or Gerrit.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and CI/CD tools such as Docker and Jenkins.

Nice to have

• Exposure to multiple cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and application performance testing.
• Experience applying GenAI use cases to improve QA processes and automation efficiency.
