Engineer Quality

Overview

Engineer Quality role ensuring the highest standards of product quality through rigorous testing and analysis, working with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and ensure compliance with industry standards.

What you'll do

• Ensure the highest standards of product quality through rigorous testing and analysis.
• Develop and implement quality control systems and conduct inspections.
• Identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Quickly comprehend project goals and requirements, identify gaps/omissions and testing challenges/impediments.
• Gather and understand requirements.
• Prepare test plan and strategy documents.
• Write test cases and develop and maintain test cases, and report test results.
• Perform Functional Testing, End-to-End, Regression, and Smoke Testing tasks.
• Create testing defect reports and track them to resolution in the defect management tool.
• Establish collaborative relationships with other teams to ensure success of project test phases.
• Anticipate problems or issues that may arise, forecast high risk areas in software and drive resolution.
• Provide timely and meaningful test result updates to management.
• Drive automation initiative.
• Communicate problem impacts to development and business teams and understand business requirements.
• Manage conflicts, increase productivity, and hire and grow talent.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.
• 4 to 6 years of software testing experience.
• Strong QA background in manual/functional testing.
• Good knowledge of SQL/Oracle queries.
• Experience preparing test plan and strategy documents.
• Ability to gather and understand requirements.
• Good experience in writing test cases and in requirement gathering.
• Good experience in Web services testing.
• Understanding of formal software test design techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to follow QA process and standards.
• Good experience in Functional Testing, End-to-End, Regression, and Smoke Testing tasks.
• Expertise in scripting languages and logical implementations.
• Hands-on experience in automation, frameworks and tools.
• Strong interpersonal and people management skills, with a proven ability to manage conflicts, increase productivity, hire and grow talent.
• Experience working closely with development and business teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong self-motivation, organization and attention to detail; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Exposure to Security and Performance testing.
