Engineer, SSD Validation

Overview

Engineer for SSD validation, partnering across R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing to develop and execute validation strategies for client SSD development.

What you'll do

• Review and challenge current test plans, coverage, and testing activities to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
• Define validation strategies including test cases and PASS/FAIL criteria using cycle counts, statistics, and temperature.
• Recommend and instrument new validation approaches for better end-to-end coverage and more accurate testing.
• Define and implement test implementation strategy and software architecture for development and debug.
• Execute product validation flows, monitor test time, and analyze results including Bin Pareto reporting.
• Drive defect closure by investigating root cause, enabling traceable reproduction steps, and working with associated teams.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of validation experience.
• Strong Python scripting experience.
• Knowledge of PCIe SSDs, NAND, memory storage hierarchy, and NVMe protocol.
• Ability to analyze problems, diagnose root cause, and apply corrective actions.
• Validated ability to craft and implement product test strategies.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted coding techniques to improve efficiency or automate design and analysis methodologies.
