Systems Operations senior Specialist

Overview

Senior Specialist for Systems Operations, focused on Linux Production Cloud Support (AWS) within Nasdaq Technology’s Bangalore team.

What you'll do

• Ensure operating systems, software, and procedures comply with Nasdaq Trade Surveillance (NTS) requirements.
• Provide rotational, shift-based production support and deliver software solutions for global teams.
• Deliver L2/L3 production support for Linux-based environments and applications.
• Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for application, OS, and infrastructure issues.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems including CPU, memory, disk, I/O, processes, and networking.
• Monitor production using monitoring and observability tools, and resolve production issues.
• Manage AWS infrastructure (EC2 instances, EBS volumes) and use Terraform for infrastructure as code.

What you'll need

• Minimum 8–10 years hands-on experience in Linux/Unix production environments.
• Proven AWS experience including EC2, Lambda, S3, Batch, and State Machines.
• 4+ years expert-level experience with Zabbix, Grafana, and Datadog.
• 5+ years experience with configuration management tools including Puppet and Ansible.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python.
• 5+ years experience with Jira and Git/Bitbucket.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
