Lead Software Engineer

Overview

Lead Software Engineer role focused on designing and operating secure, resilient, cloud-native platform foundations for Mastercard’s Global Open Banking platform.

What you'll do

• Lead cloud-native infrastructure and platform service design, implementation, and evolution.
• Develop scalable, highly available solutions running in AWS.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and automation frameworks.
• Drive Kubernetes platform engineering (cluster architecture, upgrades, performance, observability, governance).
• Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines for secure and efficient software delivery.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and reliability improvement efforts.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of software engineering/cloud/DevOps/SRE/platform/infrastructure engineering experience.
• Experience designing and operating production workloads in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience building Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
• Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Kubernetes environments.
• Experience developing automation using Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages.
• Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
