Overview
Drive platform bring-up, kernel development, performance optimization, and system stability initiatives for next-generation automotive solutions as a Staff Engineer.
What you'll do
- Develop and debug Linux kernel subsystems and device drivers for automotive platforms.
- Analyze and resolve complex system issues involving boot, memory, storage, networking, and performance.
- Drive CPU, memory, boot-time, and overall system performance improvements.
- Perform deep root cause analysis using kernel logs, traces, ramdumps, and profiling tools.
- Lead stability investigations and customer escalations across multiple software domains.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, production-quality software.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical reviews and architecture discussions.
What you'll need
- 12+ years of experience in embedded software development.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Linux Kernel Programming.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Device Driver Development and Debugging.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Performance Analysis and Optimization.
- Strong hands-on expertise in System Stability and Root Cause Analysis.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Memory Management and Multithreaded Systems.
- Strong hands-on expertise in ARM64 Architecture.
- Strong hands-on expertise in C/C++ Programming.
- Experience with Linux debugging and profiling tools such as GDB, Ftrace, Perf, Crash, and Trace Analysis tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience, or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience, or PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
- 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
- 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.
Nice to have
- Experience with Automotive Linux, Android Automotive, or QNX.
- Knowledge of device drivers, hypervisor, memory management.
- Familiarity with virtualization and hypervisor technologies.
- Experience supporting customer escalations and production issues.
