Staff Engineer, Software (FDE)

Overview

Lead architecture, design, and development of agentic AI, Connect Platform, customer tenancy, authorization, and digital subscription solutions. Provide technical leadership across multiple Scrum teams while contributing directly to software delivery.

What you'll do

• Translate business requirements into scalable solution architectures.
• Select and optimize AI models, prompts, reasoning workflows, and inference strategies.
• Design RAG architectures with vector databases, indexing, chunking, embeddings, and retrieval patterns.
• Configure agents, multi-agent workflows, memory, tools, and enterprise integrations.
• Integrate enterprise data sources and external systems securely.
• Validate, deploy, monitor, and continuously optimize solutions through GA.
• Lead design reviews, code reviews, testing, mentoring, and technical guidance.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or master's degree in computer science.
• 10+ years of experience in agentic application development.
• Experience with Java and frameworks including Spring, Apache Tomcat, Jetty, Juice, JSON, XML, and Ajax.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, unit testing, and DDD.
• At least 4 years of AWS cloud experience including S3, DynamoDB, SNS, SES, and EC2.
• At least 4 years of database, persistence framework, and SQL experience.
• Experience with GitHub, Docker, CI/CD, distributed systems, NFRs, mentoring, and technical leadership.
