Staff Software Engineer

Overview

Lead major feature development and shape the technical direction of engineering teams as a Staff Software Engineer. The role combines hands-on software development with technical mentorship, architecture, and cross-team influence.

What you'll do

• Own short- and long-term technical vision.
• Mentor and guide engineers across teams.
• Conduct technical design and code reviews.
• Make and influence major technical decisions for the squad.
• Share technical knowledge through talks or blog posts.
• Communicate with engineers, product managers, customers, partners, and leaders.
• Lead ambiguous, cross-team technical projects end to end.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience in senior engineering roles.
• Expertise in Microsoft .NET, C#, Java, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs, and SQL databases.
• Experience with HTML5, JavaScript, Git, unit testing, debugging, profiling, and performance monitoring.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• B.S., B.Tech, M.S., M.Tech, PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent education.
• Daily hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and practical understanding of LLM use and limitations.
• Experience mentoring engineers and raising engineering quality standards.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating AI or LLM APIs into products.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering.
• Experience establishing AI-tool usage guidelines.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, internal tooling, or developer productivity initiatives.
• Experience with TypeScript and React.
