Staff SW Systems Engineer 10531 – DPDK/VPP Data Plane Developer (SD-WAN Security)

Overview

Develop software data plane, networking, and security services for an SD-WAN platform in a cloud-native environment.

What you'll do

• Design and develop SD-WAN networking and security features.
• Build software data plane components using VPP and DPDK.
• Develop forwarding, traffic steering, QoS, visibility, and security services.
• Integrate open-source and third-party networking and security solutions.
• Troubleshoot networking, security, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams on end-to-end solutions.

What you'll need

• 8–13 years of experience.
• Strong C/C++ development experience.
• Hands-on experience with VPP, DPDK, packet processing, and forwarding.
• Experience with Linux systems programming and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, and SD-WAN architectures.
• Experience with at least one listed networking or security technology, such as IPSec, firewalls, IDS/IPS, SWG, DPI, QoS, or SASE/SSE.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, gRPC, and distributed systems.

Nice to have

• Golang development experience.
• Experience developing CNFs or VNFs.
• Experience with programmable packet pipelines.
• Experience integrating security platforms such as Zscaler or Palo Alto Networks NGFW.
