Engineer - Supplier Site Assessment

Overview

Lead supplier site assessment evaluation and closure across multiple sites, resolving supplier technical and system issues while supporting quality management and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll do

• Review supplier site assessment requests and questionnaires.
• Evaluate supplier processes and identify gaps, risks, and opportunities using objective evidence.
• Verify corrective actions through supplier-provided evidence.
• Maintain assessment documentation according to quality management procedures.
• Coordinate with commodity, purchasing, supplier development, and supplier quality teams to resolve issues.
• Lead operational and customer review meetings as the divisional point of contact.
• Drive supplier and internal training, quality initiatives, and Level-2 continuous improvement projects.

What you'll need

• 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing, supplier quality, supplier development, or supplier audits.
• At least 4 years of experience in supplier process audits or internal audits.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, Production, or Industrial engineering.
• Experience working with global customers and suppliers.
• Knowledge of supplier assessment, audit, and core manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of 8D, A3, VSM, DMAIC, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, CP, SPC, and MSA.
• Internal auditor certification in ISO, IATF, or AS.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
• Experience with digital tools and techniques.
