Engineering Manager

Overview

As an Engineering Manager in GenAI studios, you will lead the engineering team developing and delivering an AI-native product for professional creators to direct and produce high-quality, production-grade, AI-generated content, with emphasis on automated evaluations and validations.

What you'll do

• Lead and scale the GenAI engineering team, responsible for developing and delivering high-quality features for AI content production.
• Partner closely with Product and Data Science teams to define, drive and deliver technology roadmap items.
• Design backend systems that scale across multiple frontier models.
• Champion engineering excellence across observability, performance tuning, cost efficiency and resilience engineering.
• Foster a high-ownership engineering culture focused on data-driven decision making, experimentation velocity and customer-first thinking.
• Create effective mechanisms to set team goals, create execution plans and track progress against them.
• Collaborate with Developers, Program Managers and tech support teams in an agile environment to estimate and deliver objectives set together as a team.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience managing software development teams.
• Full stack expertise with solid experience with Python and JS frameworks like React or Next.
• Hands-on architectural or distributed systems experience.
• Experience with high-scale databases: MySQL, NoSQL, Cassandra, Redis or DynamoDB.
• Experience with Google Cloud for production applications.
• Experience with CI/CD processes.
• A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional projects and bringing in and growing engineering talent.
• Documented experience using AI tools as part of daily work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.
