Engineering Manager (Onboarding & Activation)

Overview

Engineering Manager for Bitwarden’s Onboarding and Activation team in the India Engineering Center of Excellence.

What you'll do

• Lead, hire, develop, and retain a team of software engineers.
• Set and report measurable team goals and objectives.
• Facilitate engineering team ceremonies such as weekly syncs, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and sprint planning.
• Monitor in-flight work to identify blocked items and drive resolution with updates.
• Own escalation and triage for production issues, reported bugs, and enterprise escalations related to autofill behavior and desktop integrations.
• Maintain a sprint-ready backlog by prioritizing bugs and tech debt alongside features with well-defined items.
• Serve as a liaison with Design, Product, Architecture, and other engineering teams to keep priorities aligned.

What you'll need

• 10–15 years of total experience.
• 5–8 years leading engineering teams or complex cross-functional product engineering initiatives.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams, including cross-time-zone work.
• Strong understanding of Agile development and product delivery lifecycles.
• Experience in engineering management or related leadership functions.
• Strong technical background in CI/CD, automation, and release engineering.
• Experience leading delivery and influencing multiple stakeholders.
