Engineering Program Manager

Overview

Lead cross-functional engineering programs and software releases for Cisco Networking Engineering across multiple product and engineering teams.

What you'll do

• Plan requirements, timelines, risks, and mitigations in agile, waterfall, or hybrid environments.
• Lead technical tradeoff discussions with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Drive end-to-end program execution across product and engineering teams.
• Improve program planning processes, guidelines, and standards.
• Manage dependencies, schedules, quality, and budget constraints.
• Track KPIs, risks, action items, technical dependencies, and mitigation plans.
• Use quality measurements, defect tracking, and testing methods to monitor software quality.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, or a Master's degree.
• 10+ years of experience with 5+ years in program management.
• Experience driving multiple engineering programs.
• Experience with waterfall, agile, or hybrid methodologies.
• Experience with ALM tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience in SDLC, product development, software release management, deployment, and integration.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

• Executive presence and strong communication with engineering stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize decisions based on business objectives and constraints.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity while maintaining program focus.
