Engineering Services Practitioner

Overview

As an Engineering Services Practitioner, provide end-to-end engineering services and develop technical engineering solutions to solve problems and achieve business objectives. Work across structural and stress design, qualification, configuration and technical management, including designing, authoring and proofreading Service Bulletins (SB) for Airbus civil aircraft programs.

What you'll do

• Manage a team of approximately 10 people.
• Perform independently and become a subject matter expert.
• Participate actively in team discussions.
• Contribute solutions to work-related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering solutions with project requirements and business objectives.
• Document and communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to enhance engineering processes and methodologies as part of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance.
• Design, author and proofread SB for all programs.
• Work on Standard SB, Transverse and upgrade services of SB.
• Support retrofit and modification activities for Cabin.
• Perform installation feasibility, interface definition and integration in DMU.
• Collect documents and information to support SBO creation.
• Provide customer support for engineering requests, including analysis and resolution of operational and engineering requests for operators of Airbus civil aircraft in service.
• Create and revise Service Bill of Material.
• Study engineering drawings and become familiar with international aerospace standards ATA 100, iSpec 2200 and S1000D.
• Create CRP relations with configuration management analysis.
• Create and modify VSB.
• Perform quality checks on STD and upgrade services of different types of SB.
• Perform front office query management.

What you'll need

• Minimum 7.5 year(s) of experience is required.
• Overall experience of at least 12+ years in creation and modification of SB documentation for Airbus civil aircraft only.
• 15 years full time education.
• Aircraft Maintenance Manual Authoring Guidelines.
• Experience in Standard SB, Transverse and upgrade services of SB.
• Proficient in Catia v5 application.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and BOM, with good knowledge of GD&T.
• Experience working with monuments such as Stowage, Partition, Doghouse, Lavatory, Galley, Bar, CTS, Seats and Placards.
• Knowledge of Enovia VPM, PASS, ACP. CADB, TAKSY, GILDA, ICC CADB and SAP.
• Knowledge of Cabin, Connectivity and Systems on A320, A330, A350 and A380 fleet.
• Knowledge of VSB creation and modification.
• Knowledge of SAMM, GIPSY, GIDOCA, AIRINA, IMS, DACAS and AIRNAVX.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand and use ASD-STE.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of 3D JUUMP, AIRINA and CCD/SAMM-DACAS.
• Exposure to knowledge towards SB process and creation.
• Ability to learn and a passion towards new technologies.
• Experience in front office query management.
