About the Job
We are seeking an organized and proactive Equity Dealer to join our trading desk in a Full-time, OnSite capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate execution of equity orders, monitoring market movements, and supporting relationship managers and clients with trade-related queries. This role demands a strong interest in equity markets, excellent communication and client-management abilities, and a meticulous eye for detail to ensure trades settle correctly and comply with firm protocols and regulatory requirements. You will operate in a fast-paced environment where quick decision-making, accurate record-keeping, and clear coordination across teams are critical to delivering superior service and minimizing operational risk.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Execute and manage equity trades across cash and listed instruments, ensuring timely and accurate order placement and confirmation.
- Continuously monitor market conditions and pricing to provide input on execution strategy and optimal order routing.
- Handle end-to-end client order management, including intake, validation, allocation, confirmation, and follow-up on trade lifecycle events.
- Coordinate with sales, research, operations, and compliance teams to resolve trade breaks, delivery/settlement issues, and exceptions.
- Maintain precise and auditable trade records and reports, ensuring all communications and actions follow firm protocols.
- Support relationship managers with client queries and provide clear, professional updates on order status and market developments.
- Contribute to process improvements and participate in periodic reviews to strengthen controls and reduce operational risk.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Keen interest in equity markets with a demonstrable understanding of market drivers and trading mechanics.
- Eye for detailing—ability to maintain accurate records and spot discrepancies in trade reports or confirmations.
- Excellent Communication Skills—clear verbal and written communication for client interactions and internal coordination.
- Good analytical skills to interpret market data, evaluate execution quality, and support decision-making under pressure.
- Communication skills and Protocols—familiarity with standard trading protocols, order types, and confirmation conventions.
- Client Management—ability to build trust, manage expectations, and deliver timely resolutions to client issues.
- Comfortable working with trading platforms, MS Excel, and order management systems; willingness to work OnSite in a dynamic desk environment.
