ETL Developer, Senior Associate

Overview

Hands-on ETL developer role on the Alpha Data Platform at Charles River Development (State Street), building Talend data pipelines and Snowflake data warehouse solutions and working across APAC, EMEA and North America.

What you'll do

• Develop, implement and support ETL data pipelines, Snowflake data warehouse components, CI/CD deployment pipelines and data-readiness (data quality) solutions.
• Work hands-on with Spring Boot microservices and their deployment in cloud environments.
• Perform query performance tuning and optimization and data loads to meet SLAs for batch and real-time use cases.
• Investigate problems, perform root cause analysis and resolve code and data defects, including SQL query debugging.
• Work across regions to define design standards, high-level design documents, cross-training and data onboarding activities.
• Create SDLC artifacts, Governance clearance documents, Unit Test results and Confluence/Jira/Kanban stories; conduct peer code reviews and code deployments.
• Work with multiple business and IT stakeholders and support client implementations and operational improvements.

What you'll need

• B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or other technical field of study.
• A minimum of 6-9 years of experience in Talend Data Integration.
• Expert knowledge of Talend Studio R2022 and higher.
• Expert knowledge of Talend Management Console environments, workspaces, connections, plans and tasks.
• Strong data warehousing concepts, data modelling and data quality knowledge.
• Java IDE experience with IntelliJ or Eclipse.
• Strong SQL knowledge and debugging skills.
• Strong experience using Talend reference projects and external Java libraries.
• Experience in service architecture and providing data-driven solutions for client requirements.
• Experience on Microsoft Azure cloud and Snowflake SQL, including database query and performance tuning.
• Experience using Microsoft Azure tooling such as Azure Key Vault and Blob Storage.

Nice to have

• MS degree.
• Exposure to the financial domain.
• Prior experience with State Street and Charles River Development (CRD).
• Experience with Qlik Replicate and Compose (Change Data Capture) tools.
• Exposure to third-party data providers such as Bloomberg, Reuters, MSCI and other rating agencies.
