Overview
Field Service Engineer II for LCMS and HPLC instruments, delivering technical service and customer support at customer sites across research, industrial, pharmaceutical, and healthcare environments.
What you'll do
- Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair LCMS and HPLC instruments at customer sites.
- Perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, system diagnostics, and performance verification.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electronic, mechanical, vacuum, software, and system-level issues.
- Troubleshoot and support Chromeleon (or similar) chromatography/data-system software, including network-connected installations.
- Provide technical guidance and training on instrument operation and routine maintenance.
- Complete accurate field service reports, service documentation, and technical records.
- Identify recurring or outstanding issues and provide structured feedback to internal teams.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with relevant hands-on technical experience.
- Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing LCMS and HPLC instruments.
- Strong electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills and systematic fault diagnosis.
- Experience working in regulated/compliance environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise/network-based customers using Chromeleon or comparable software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, service manuals, and electrical/electronic schematics.
- Valid driver’s license.
Details
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday.
- Travel: approximately 50–75% within the assigned territory.
- May require short-notice response to customer requirements.
- May require flexibility for extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift and handle equipment/components weighing approximately 25 lbs (11 kg).
