Overview
Support Cisco’s Global Financial Planning & Analysis Center of Excellence in Bangalore by providing financial reporting, business analysis, forecasting, planning, and decision support for Regional Sales and Services organizations and Business Entities.
What you'll do
- Generate financial reports, business analyses, and models based on business requirements to support regional and global Finance processes.
- Prepare and distribute timely and accurate financial information for business planning, forecasting, and decision-making.
- Validate, document, and communicate insights from ongoing reporting activities.
- Perform scenario analysis and financial planning to support business decisions, approvals, and key initiatives.
- Support organizational expense and headcount reporting, bookings, revenue and margin analysis, and OPEX management activities including purchase requisition approvals and accruals for assigned regions and Business Entities.
- Act as a primary Finance contact for designated business partners by providing advice, reporting, and analysis.
- Work as an extended member of the Business Finance Partner team to develop an understanding of the underlying business and provide analytical insights.
- Identify key trends, business issues, opportunities, and performance drivers to support management decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, reporting automation, and analytical enhancement and share recommendations with CoE leadership.
- Collaborate with the Global FP&A CoE, Finance Business Partners, Regional Sales and Services teams, Business Entity Finance teams, and cross-functional and regional stakeholders.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- CA, ICWA, or CMA preferred, with 1+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting concepts.
- General understanding of periodic performance reporting, annual and quarterly OPEX budgeting and planning, and month-end accounting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of finance and reporting systems such as Business Objects, Essbase, or equivalent tools.
- Strong analytical and systems skills.
- Excellent communication, partnering, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and regional teams.
- High level of ownership, integrity, and drive for results.
Nice to have
- CA, ICWA, or CMA.
- Experience working within a large multinational organization.
- Experience with Excel Macros and automation.
- Database knowledge and experience working with large financial datasets.
- Ability to create Excel-based automation, financial models, and analytical solutions.
- Experience connecting Excel to external databases.
- Strong data analytics capabilities that can be applied to FP&A models and business decision support.
- Experience identifying opportunities to simplify and automate finance processes.
