Overview
Lead risk-based internal audit and advisory work focused on finance and business operations, including forensic and investigative reviews.
What you’ll do
- Lead risk-based audits and advisory reviews across finance, accounting, and business operations with related compliance risks considered.
- Assess governance and oversight of financial management and critical business operations, including enterprise programs and third-party relationships.
- Evaluate financial processes and controls across areas such as treasury, tax, revenue, procurement, payroll, and financial planning.
- Conduct forensic accounting and investigative reviews involving unusual transactions, fraud indicators, or control circumvention and form evidence-based conclusions.
- Evaluate operational processes and compliance obligations, including risks from new products, markets, partnerships, organizational changes, and AI use.
- Use data analytics, automation, and AI to improve risk assessment, scoping, testing, continuous monitoring, and reporting.
- Translate audit observations into practical advice and build trusted relationships across multiple teams.
What you’ll need
- 10-12+ years of relevant experience in internal audit, public accounting, corporate finance or accounting, forensic accounting, operational audit, or a related field.
- Deep expertise in financial reporting, accounting, and internal controls.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex financial and operational audits end-to-end.
- Experience with forensic accounting, investigations, fraud risk, or transaction-level data analysis (highly valued).
- Strong understanding of data and AI risks and experience using automation or AI-assisted techniques in audit or control testing.
- Ability to understand end-to-end business processes and reach well-supported conclusions from incomplete information.
- A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; CIA or CPA is strongly preferred.
