Finance Performance Supervisor

Overview

As a Finance Performance Supervisor at RSM USI, you will provide strategic advisory support to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Finance and Accounting functions. You will manage staff and deliver multiple client projects on time, on budget, and in line with client expectations while supporting business development and service development.

What you'll do

• Assist in optimizing finance organizations through finance assessment, target operating model definition, business process improvement, enterprise transformation, and finance technology enablement and deployment.
• Demonstrate understanding of finance and accounting functions and the people, processes, and technology supporting Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Source to Report, Acquire to Retire, and Forecasting & Planning.
• Leverage visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau and automation technologies such as Alteryx to modernize service delivery through digitization.
• Deliver high-quality work within expected timeframes, scope, budgets, and client expectations.
• Oversee and drive projects to completion by identifying opportunities and solutions, monitoring progress, managing risk, and keeping stakeholders informed about milestones, engagement progress, and outcomes.
• Assist with preparing and communicating project financials to firm leadership.
• Support internal and external business development activities and networking.
• Understand firm capabilities across lines of business to identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Identify industry focus areas, assist with industry research, and support prospect and existing client targeting activities.
• Assist in developing new service offerings, innovative solutions, and deliverables for the changing finance environment and market.
• Manage, coach, and develop junior resources and peers through timely and actionable feedback, recruitment, and retention efforts.
• Communicate with client employees, C-suite executives, and/or private equity partners to develop and foster client relationships.

What you'll need

• Chartered Accountancy, Cost & Management Accountancy, or an MBA from a Top Tier Institution, with a minimum of 5 – 8 years of experience working in a Big 4 or large organization.
• Knowledge advising Finance organizations on the stated business processes.
• Experience in at least one of the following focus areas: Finance Transformation, Business Process Improvement, Shared Services, or Technology Enablement.
• Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex business problems through fact gathering, business process mapping, and data analysis.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving work environment and deal effectively with ambiguity.
• Ability to lead and manage a team of associates and senior associates, ensuring high-quality project delivery and reviewing deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, project management, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Visio, MS Teams, MS Outlook, OneDrive, LucidCharts, and Smartsheet.
• Ability to travel to the US for short-term project meetings/workshops.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of one or more visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau, and automation technologies such as Alteryx.
• Exposure to one or more technologies including ERPs or financial systems such as NetSuite, D365, Workday, Sage Intacct, Blackline, Workiva, Adaptive, Kyriba, and other similar systems.
• Being a team player.
