Finance SME - General Accounting

Overview

Finance SME role in General Accounting at JLL, responsible for monthly property financial statements, month-end close review and variance analysis across a property portfolio.

What you'll do

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly property financial statements for the most complex properties, generally a 5 to 6-property portfolio, by deadlines established within Client Accounting Services and external clients.
• Review end-to-end work assigned to the team, generally around an 8-10 property portfolio.
• Review month-end close journal entries (accruals, prepayments, mortgage entries) and accounting corrections/reclassifications to ensure accurate income and expense accounting.
• Follow up monthly on outstanding or unreconciled bank and mortgage items identified during month end.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis for balance sheet and P&L codes to determine the reason for deviations beyond a threshold limit.
• Prepare and deliver monthly financial packages in accordance with deadlines established within Client Accounting Services and by external clients.
• Assist in the budget process and review the budget from an accounting perspective.
• Review, verify and approve invoices and raise check requests; research and resolve invoice discrepancies; monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
