Financial Reporting Accountant

Overview

Own statutory financial reporting and compliance for insightsoftware's French/EU entity, while supporting the implementation of consistent global accounting policies across regional entities.

What you'll do

• Execute and ensure that the control environments are accurate and in compliance with local (EU/French) accounting standards and reporting requirements.
• Be fully responsible for the statutory financial statements (EU/French) and oversee other in-country compliance requirements such as VAT compilations.
• Prepare audit schedules for both local statutory (EU/French) audits and US GAAP audits.
• Implement consistent global accounting policies and procedures within the regional entities.
• Create processes around areas of responsibility to ensure accurate and timely reporting of results.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis support to the Finance team and business as the need arises.
• Perform balance sheet reviews and report on monthly income statement analytics.
• Liaise with stakeholders to discuss and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Liaise with business owners to ensure that processes and deadlines are clearly understood.
• Collaborate to support the development of processes that are scalable to cater for insightsoftware's growth, including future expansion into new locations.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as identified by the center of excellence management team.

What you'll need

• Qualified accountant with 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels both within and outside the company.
• Ability to communicate freely verbally and in writing in English.

Nice to have

• Big 4 accounting experience.
• Knowledge of French GAAP.
• Mix of Big 4 and industry experience in Accounting, Audit & Compliance.
• Experience with NetSuite/Salesforce.
• Software industry experience.
• Ability to work UK time zone.
• Other European/French language skills.
