Fire Protection Engineer

Overview

Fire Protection Engineer providing fire protection consultation and engineering services for operating assets and capital projects. The role supports risk reduction through design engineering, audits, hazard analyses, incident investigation, and training.

What you'll do

• Perform active and passive fire protection system design engineering.
• Complete hydraulic calculations and transient analysis.
• Develop fire and gas 3D mapping and instrumentation solutions.
• Test fire protection systems.
• Set up and review fire protection modeling software.
• Participate as a subject matter expert in Fire Hazard Analyses.
• Provide site fire protection reviews and support code development.

What you'll need

• Hold a bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline such as mechanical or chemical engineering.
• Have knowledge and experience in process engineering within complex process facilities.
• Understand fire protection engineering fundamentals, including fluid mechanics, hydraulics, fire dynamics, and thermal radiation.
• Understand Process Safety Management concepts, including PHA, HAZID, and LOPA.
• Be familiar with Pipenet, Inside Numerics, and Phast.

Nice to have

• Have 5–10 years of experience in engineering execution or consulting roles within offshore, complex, or LNG facilities.
• Have experience testing and commissioning fire suppression systems.
• Have experience designing, fabricating, or constructing fire suppression systems.

Details

• Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
• Working hours may be 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 1:30 PM–10:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
• Domestic or international travel is anticipated.
