Lead. Application Engineer I

Overview

Lead Application Engineer I (Fire Protection & Suppression Systems) responsible for end-to-end presales engineering for fire protection opportunities.

What you'll do

• Handle end-to-end presales engineering activities for Fire Protection & Suppression opportunities.
• Perform techno-commercial work for project scope including fire sprinkler, hydrant, water spray, foam, and gas suppression systems.
• Review project inputs and initiate kick-off using CoE SFDC code and time frame.
• Prepare designs from floor plans to arrive at BOQ when BOQ is unavailable.
• Identify technical issues/risks and proactively communicate and help mitigate them.
• Coordinate with OEMs and subcontractors, review proposals/commercials, and verify against past data/benchmark costing.
• Prepare optimized costing, proposals, and compliance statements; perform self QC and support 2nd-level QC; submit deliverables and update SFDC.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Fire Protection & Suppression Systems domains.
• Strong knowledge of Fire Protection & Suppression Systems (e.g., fire sprinkler, pre-action, water spray, standpipe & hose, hydrant network, foam suppression, water mist, kitchen hood, gas suppression).
• Presales and estimation experience across verticals such as Transportation, Commercial, Fit-outs, Industries, and Data Centers.
• Ability to perform hydraulic and flow calculations and conduct product selections with deviation/compliance statements.
• Ability to work on complex costing sheets covering material, engineering, operations, and subcontract costs.
• Skill in articulating solutions through structured, high-standard technical proposal documents.
• Proficient written and verbal communication and ability to work as a team player.
