Forward Deployed Architect

Overview

Lead data architecture and implementation for complex enterprise customers using Hightouch's agent-powered platform. Drive discovery, define activation-ready data models and identity rules, oversee builds, and validate outcomes.

What you'll do

• Run discovery with marketing and data teams to define activation use cases.
• Profile customer data and architect solutions that close data gaps.
• Create target-state schemas and identity matching rules.
• Direct agents in profiling warehouses, proposing models, and generating transformations.
• Review and own data models, transformations, performance, and quality.
• Define, calculate, and defend success metrics with senior customer leaders.
• Build reusable reference architectures and provide product feedback.

What you'll need

• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role.
• Experience in analytics engineering, solutions architecture, forward-deployed engineering, data consulting, or marketing data work.
• Fluency in SQL.
• Fluency in Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Ability to consider query performance and warehouse cost.
• Experience driving discovery and alignment across stakeholders.
• Ability to direct and scrutinize agent-generated data work.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt, SQLMesh, or similar transformation tooling.
• Git-native, pull-request-driven workflow experience.
• Experience with identity resolution, CDPs, or MDM.

• Remote role for North America.
• Salary: $175,000–$225,000 USD per year.
