Forward-Deployed Engineer to embed with strategic enterprise customers and lead transformational outcomes across frontend modernization, platform migrations, and production AI adoption.
What you'll do
- Lead complex frontend migrations to Next.js, including Pages to App Router transitions and incremental adoption.
- Conduct technical assessments and code audits to identify performance bottlenecks and architectural anti-patterns.
- Architect and implement high-performance Next.js applications using App Router, Server Components, streaming, ISR, and edge functions.
- Optimize Core Web Vitals and application performance using tools like Vercel Speed Insights.
- Build production AI solutions using Vercel's AI SDK and AI Cloud, including conversational interfaces and agents.
- Embed with customer teams to ship TypeScript code and work within customer environments.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years in a customer-facing technical role.
- Expert-level TypeScript skills for daily production TypeScript work.
- Deep expertise in Next.js, including App Router, Server Components, SSR, SSG, ISR, and edge functions.
- Mastery of React ecosystem including advanced state management and performance optimization.
- Production experience with LLMs and AI applications, including prompt engineering and agent development.
- Willingness to travel 25-40% to customer sites for embedded work.
