Overview
Forward Deployed Engineer working cross-functionally to deliver fast, customer-value outcomes by standing up current product on customer data and prototyping near-production solutions when gaps exist.
What you'll do
- Engage across Sales, Product, R&D, and Implementation to support critical pursuits.
- Own technical discovery through production adoption and handoff for strategic customer solutions.
- Build smallest safe prototypes to test value hypotheses within deal timelines.
- Prototype and productionize solutions for security, reliability, observability, maintainability, and integrations.
- Deploy and prove value using customer data; measure adoption, workflow impact, reliability, and time-to-value.
- Collaborate with Product and R&D to translate validated patterns and evidence into roadmap investments.
- Develop and continuously update solution specifications with customers.
What you'll need
- Customer-facing and commercial ability, including running technical discovery and leading value conversations.
- Experience with AI/LLM application development, including RAG, prompt/context engineering, and agent orchestration concepts.
- Familiarity with enterprise integrations in a regulated utility market.
- Technical understanding of REST and streaming APIs, authentication patterns, and integrations.
- Experience deploying AI in enterprise or regulated environments.
- Ability to build and ship real working software that others can maintain.
- Fluency in Angular, Python, or a similar language; SQL, data modeling, and pipeline building knowledge.

- Location: Staines-upon-Thames, England, United Kingdom.
- Travel: willing to travel to customer sites as needed, up to ~50%.
