FOSS Engineer

Overview

Work as an Engineer or Specialist supporting FOSS compliance and OSS tool engineering for automotive software platforms.

What you'll do

• Maintain features and modules in the OCaaS OSS tool.
• Identify and link FOSS components using FOSSID-related concepts.
• Apply open-source software licenses to commercial software distributions.
• Analyze and solve complex FOSS compliance problems.
• Work with OSS repositories including GitHub, Maven, and PyPI.
• Use Black Duck Hub or other OSS compliance tools.

What you'll need

• 2–8 years of relevant FOSS compliance experience.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of open-source software principles and licenses.
• Knowledge of basic programming in C/C++, Java, or Python.
• Knowledge of FOSS and FOSSID identification and linking concepts.
• Fluent business English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of container FOSS compliance.
• Knowledge of DevOps.
