Frontend Engineer (India/Remote)

Overview

Build and maintain responsive, high-fidelity frontend applications for Soulside AI's behavioral health platform, working on the technical logic and data structures that keep the product reliable as it scales.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain responsive, high-fidelity web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Design and implement the technical logic and schemas that power the core platform, translating multifaceted domain requirements into structured, scalable technical configurations.
• Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve frontend bugs and support issues to ensure a seamless experience for users.
• Take ownership of the technical setup for new accounts, ensuring platform logic and data structures align with user-specific requirements.
• Help develop internal workflows and tools that allow the company to scale platform capabilities across different clinical settings.
• Work with the engineering team to monitor platform health and implement frontend optimizations to improve speed and reliability.

What you'll need

• 2-3 years of software engineering experience focusing on modern frontend frameworks (React preferred).
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience managing complex application state and data flows.
• Familiarity with modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind, etc.) and responsive design.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote startup environment.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with prompt engineering to refine and validate structured AI outputs (LLM proficiency).
• Experience contributing to and navigating large, distributed frontend architectures.
• Proven ability to improve speed and efficiency in data-intensive applications (performance optimization).
• Familiarity with scaling frontend operations, including automated testing and modular component design.
• A track record of building admin dashboards or automation scripts to simplify manual engineering tasks (internal tooling).
