Overview
Provide hands-on technical leadership for Cortex's frontend, setting direction for its architecture, shared UI, and user experience across Core and Contributor applications for semiconductor data workflows.
What you'll do
- Own the Cortex frontend architecture and help ensure a consistent, scalable user experience across Core and Contributor applications.
- Lead the design and development of key Cortex experiences, including Process Explorer, Tool Overview Dashboard, and File & Recipe UI.
- Guide the evolution of the Cortex Shell, shared UI, component library, and design-system practices.
- Define approaches for plugin integration and collaboration with contributor teams using different frontend technologies.
- Lead integration of 2D and 3D viewers to support exploration and visualization of advanced microscopy datasets.
- Set frontend standards for architecture, component design, state management, accessibility, maintainability, and performance.
- Establish and evolve the frontend testing strategy, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop and review Angular applications and shared components, and support Blazor interoperability where needed.
- Integrate REST APIs and collaborate with backend technical leads on API design, data contracts, and end-to-end workflows.
- Diagnose and resolve frontend defects and performance issues across applications and supported environments.
- Work with product owners, scientists, designers, and engineering partners to refine requirements and deliver user-centered solutions.
- Influence technical decisions across teams, facilitate design and code reviews, and mentor engineers through feedback and knowledge sharing.
- Promote practices that improve code quality, test stability, maintainability, and the health of the software delivery process.
- Use AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully to improve productivity, quality, and delivery speed.
- Learn the semiconductor domain and Cortex workflows, and test solutions in the environments used by the team, including virtual machines.
- Regularly reflect with the team on how to improve collaboration and delivery.
