Overview
Own product quality end-to-end through test strategy, automation, field-issue investigation, and systemic improvements. Serve as an engineering first responder for complex, high-priority issues and connect field feedback to testing, observability, and product improvements.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain functional, regression, integration, and system-level test plans and automated suites.
- Investigate, reproduce, and triage complex production issues using logs, monitoring systems, and production data.
- Debug distributed systems, APIs, services, and code paths to isolate root causes.
- Enrich JIRA issues with logs, configurations, traces, reproduction steps, and technical context.
- Validate fixes and perform regression verification for patches and releases.
- Analyze field issues and service requests to identify systemic quality and observability gaps.
- Build automation, scripts, and AI-assisted workflows to reduce repetitive triage work.
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering foundation across distributed systems and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with software quality engineering, test automation, and defect lifecycle management.
- Experience investigating production systems with logs, monitoring tools, and observability platforms.
- Understanding of APIs, client-server architectures, and modern distributed systems.
- Strong analytical, structured problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with enterprise device management platforms such as Apple, Android, or Windows.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Cursor, Claude, or Rovo.
- Background in sustaining, field, or production systems engineering.
- Experience owning test automation frameworks or developer productivity tooling.
- Familiarity with observability platforms and structured log analysis.
