Full Stack Developer (Java/React)

Overview

Intermediate Applications Development Programmer Analyst role in Citi's Technology group, focused on Java/ReactJS full stack development for financial services applications.

What you'll do

• Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas, to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code.
• Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, recommend programming solutions, and install and support customer exposure systems.
• Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.
• Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, and conduct testing and debugging.
• Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts.
• Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions.
• Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience, guided by precedents.
• Act as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry.
• Intermediate level experience in an Applications Development role.
• Excellent ReactJS/Java development skills.
• Strong working knowledge of enterprise level architecture: web services, data, and application layers.
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
• Ability to take ownership and make technical decisions on software development projects.
• Experience with dependency management, change management, continuous integration testing tools, and audit/compliance requirements.
• Extensive knowledge of software engineering and object-oriented design.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
