Fullstack Developer – Director, Software Engineer

Overview

Join the WM Technology (MS at Work Tech) team as a Fullstack Developer responsible for project-team leadership, business systems analysis, development and occasional maintenance support in an object/service-oriented architecture implemented on the Java and React platform. This Director position develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with Systems Architects, Software Team Leads and other Software Developers to design, develop and deploy technical solutions.
• Analyse complex information, design, develop and troubleshoot database applications.
• Review functional requirements and prepare and document technical program, subsystem and system designs and solutions and their associated project task descriptions and effort estimates.
• Use industry standards and the company's existing systems architecture, design techniques and development standards, and review new work with others to ensure compliance with industry and company standards.
• Document technical requirements, program and subsystem designs, project task descriptions, effort estimates, and unit and integration tests.
• Perform new development, maintenance fixes and enhancements to meet business requirements.
• Assist other teams in troubleshooting application issues in production, quality assurance and other environments.
• Develop, review, refine, use and document plans for automated and manual unit and integration tests and/or assure unit and integration tests are successfully completed prior to production.
• Test programs for integration prior to production.
• Mentor other software developers and IT staff members.
• Document resolutions to system problems.
• Document design for system requirements.

What you'll need

• At least 8+ years' relevant experience.
• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Advanced Java Concepts and Oracle.
• Proficiency in UNIX/Linux and Microsoft Windows distributed computing.
• Ability to work with Product Analysts, QA, UAT, Development and PMO members.
• Ability to juggle tasks and priorities to meet rapidly changing deadlines.
• Must work with System Architects to review and approve program and subsystem designs.
• React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS (Bootstrap/Tailwind) and Responsive Design.
• Data Structures & Algorithms and API/API Design.
• Java IDE, preferably IntelliJ IDEA.
• JDBC and JPA/Hibernate.
• Relational DB principles using Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills in working in a cross-functional team.
