FuSa SW Product Owner – ISO 26262

Overview

Own the functional-safety software backlog for automotive embedded development and ensure safety work, features, and evidence are planned and delivered against program milestones.

What you'll do

• Define safety-software scope, backlog structure, and milestone outcomes.
• Plan work products, dependencies, reviews, and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize delivery and resolve scope or timing conflicts while maintaining safety obligations.
• Accept work using review, traceability, and verification evidence.
• Prioritize safety anomalies, lifecycle changes, and reusable improvements.
• Coordinate system, hardware, software, validation, and confirmation-measure dependencies.
• Track work-product maturity, safety anomalies, and release readiness.

What you'll need

• 8–13 years of experience.
• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
• Technical product ownership or safety project experience in automotive embedded development.
• Working knowledge of ISO 26262, ASIL, the software safety lifecycle, Agile, and Automotive SPICE.
• Experience with requirements, planning, dependency management, and evidence-based acceptance.

Nice to have

• Functional safety certification.
• ALM analytics experience.
• SEooC awareness.
• SOTIF awareness.
