Overview

GenAI Developer role at Barclays in Pune, focused on designing and delivering software capabilities and supporting location strategy projects, using GenAI and related technologies.

What you'll do

• Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using engineering methodologies.
• Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and integration needs.
• Participate in code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Apply secure coding practices and unit testing to improve reliability.
• Support delivery of location strategy projects to plan, budget, quality, and governance standards.
• Partner with other functions and advise decision-making within your expertise.

What you'll need

• Proficiency with Agentic AI, LLM, and GenAI.
• Expertise with AWS.
• Proficiency with Python.
• In-depth technical knowledge and experience in the assigned expertise area.
• Ability to lead and supervise a team (or act as an advisor as an individual contributor).
• Experience applying unit testing practices for code design, readability, and reliability.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of DevOps.
• Go Lang experience.
• Knowledge of GenAI & LLM topics including RAG and Langgraph/WatsonX/CrewAI.
• Basic understanding of ML.
